Travis Stewart has been releasing music as Machinedrum since his 2001 debut Now You Know at age 19. Over 25 years he has built one of electronic music's most varied and respected catalogs, moving fluidly between hip-hop, footwork, jungle, UK bass, and experimental club music while maintaining a signature sound rooted in intricate percussion and melodic depth.

His catalog includes Room(s) (Planet Mu, 2011), Vapor City (Ninja Tune, 2013), Human Energy (Ninja Tune, 2016), A View of U (Ninja Tune, 2020), and 3FOR82 (Ninja Tune, 2023). His work with Sepalcure (w/ Braille) and J-E-T-S (w/ Jimmy Edgar) established him as one of the most prolific collaborative voices in electronic music, and he has produced for and with Tinashe, A$AP Ferg, Freddie Gibbs, Cobrah, and Hudson Mohawke among others.

Born in North Carolina and now based in Los Angeles, Stewart returned to independent releasing in 2026, relaunching his label IAMSIAM after a 13-year partnership with Ninja Tune. That new chapter opened with the BL00MS Mini-LP, his first fully instrumental, dancefloor-focused project in years, spanning dubstep, UK garage, jungle, and melodic house. WHO is the second official IAMSIAM release since the BL00MS campaign, and his first collaboration with Scrufizzer to see release.
