Our instruments open new ways to make (and learn) music through creative play and sense of success. HER DANCEFLOOR

Established in 2021, Her Dancefloor is a community that began due to the need for support and interaction amongst female-identifying and non-binary individuals. It has grown into an international community who power the dance music industry.

Dance music began in 1980s Chicago as an art form and safe space for the marginalized. Over the last four decades, as it has increased in popularity, it has decreased in diversity. Her Dancefloor aims to do its part to fulfill the subculture’s original promise by elevating women, female-identifying and non-binary individuals in the $11.3B global dance music industry*, through community, connections, and counsel. The organic community includes artists, managers, music executives, promoters, creatives, and more from across the globe, unified in mutual respect and love, and a goal to move the needle. Today, 63% of senior music executives and 72% of artists on dance-oriented lineups are male*. Through their efforts, they aim to close the gap to 50/50.
