Trax Unit is the collaborative project of Kyle Galindo (KMS) and Kian Mahroo (DJ Mahroo), forged in Los Angeles' underground techno scene over a decade ago. Officially launched in 2019, the duo rapidly established themselves as a formidable force in the club world, earning a reputation for raw, high-energy productions rooted in the heritage of North American house and techno. Through a series of self-releases on their imprint Gyration Station, they have garnered support from respected selectors and venues across the globe.Defined by stripped-down grooves, heavy basslines, and analog grit, Trax Unit bridges classic club tradition with modern intensity — a sound that has taken them to some of the most sought-after rooms in the world. In New York, they have become a fixture at NYC clubs such as Nowadays, Paragon, Bossa Nova Civic Club, H0l0, and Signal; across Europe, they have graced the decks at Berlin's Multisex, Buttons, Lecken and OXI Club, as well as Paris' La Gare La Gore and Chicago's Podlasie Club. Closer to home, the duo serve as resident DJs on Los Angeles' beloved Dublab radio station, cementing their ties to the city's vibrant underground community.Following a standout 2025 summer tour, the duo delivered their most significant release to date — Gloria, issued on Cromby's esteemed Potency label — and are now setting their sights firmly on 2026. Their latest offering finds them on Carry Nation's Full Tilt Carry compilation via Nervous Records — the legendary NYC label that's shaped dance music for decades.
